Hello, I’m Kelly Shaw – an American photographer who is now very much at home in the heart of South Yorkshire. My portrait studio is located in Lindholme, Doncaster.

I focus on portraits of newborns, children and families; and whilst I appreciate you’ll be more interested in viewing my images than reading my words, I’d just like to mention a few things about the way I work and the standards you can expect from me.

You could say that photography is in my blood. For as long as I can remember I’ve never been far away from it. Some of my earliest memories are summer days in Michigan posing for my father in front of his trusty old camera, and then following him in pursuit of capturing that elusive butterfly perched upon a daisy in some far-flung meadow. Photography was his passion, so it will come as no surprise that he strove for perfection in every image he took. I’m very grateful that I’ve inherited his passion and determination to attain the perfect image. But it wasn’t until I came to England that I made photography my career.

I now consider myself very fortunate to be doing a job that I really love: using my skills and creativity to delight customers and make new friends. Photography is what comes naturally to me – and as such it helps me produce the kind of results you’ll only receive from a photographer who is totally at ease with her work and the world around her.

I take the time to get to know you and the type of portraiture you’re looking for. And I’m always delighted to offer any specific ideas I may have for adding an inspirational touch of originality.

I’m very experienced at working with parents and children, having previously been a registered Daycare Provider in the States and an Ofsted approved Child-Minder in the UK.  This experience, coupled with my friendly personality and absolute professionalism, enables me to capture real life personalities with a distinctive signature…
